The founders of The Oasis took great care in designing and building the magnificent look of the restaurant with its traditional North African architecture and waterfall in the middle of the dining area, to give guests a relaxing atmosphere. This wasn’t just about creating a restaurant – it was about crafting an authentic cultural experience that would transport diners from the busy streets of St Albans to the warm, welcoming atmosphere of a Middle Eastern oasis.
Our menu covers many of the classics of Mediterranean and Middle East cooking, including mezze platters to share, charcoal oven pizzas and fish, as well as dishes which lead with ingredients like traditional tagines, couscous and rice. We’ve maintained our commitment to authenticity while ensuring accessibility for all diners, offering something for every palate and dietary requirement.
The centrepiece of our cooking remains our traditional charcoal grill, where we prepare our signature dishes. Our diverse offerings blend traditional Middle Eastern and North African flavours, featuring Moroccan tagines and couscous, charcoal-grilled meats like shish taouk and lamb chops, and an assortment of cold and hot starters including hummus and falafel.
